Your information
Privacy Policy
Information stored on your device
The app stores the information you enter so features work offline. This can include setup preferences, due-date or birth information, provider details, birth-plan notes, checklists, bookmarks, hospital-bag and document status, practice progress, contraction and kick sessions, wellbeing check-ins, and postpartum tracker entries.
Information processed when you sign in
If you create an account, Supabase processes your account identifier, email address, authentication provider, sign-in metadata, and session information. Apple or Google may provide your name and email according to the choices you make with those providers. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
Optional cloud backup
When you sign in, Birth Partner can back up selected app mode and setup information, practice completion, bookmarks, hospital-bag and document status, and preparation checklists. Contraction sessions, kick counts, wellbeing check-ins, birth-plan notes, birth date, and postpartum tracker entries remain device-local by default.
Family sharing
Family sharing begins only when you create or join a family with an invite code. Once connected, postpartum tracker entries are synchronized to other members of that family through Supabase. Row Level Security restricts access to authenticated members of the same family.
Service providers
- Supabase provides authentication, database storage, realtime family synchronization, and account deletion infrastructure.
- Apple and Google provide optional sign-in services and process information under their own privacy policies.
- Expo provides application build and update delivery infrastructure. Technical request data may be processed when the app checks for an update.
How we use information
We use information to operate requested app features, keep optional backups synchronized, connect family members you authorize, secure accounts, troubleshoot reliability, deliver app updates, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use health-related entries for advertising.
Retention and deletion
On-device information remains until you remove it, reset the app, or uninstall it. Cloud information remains while your account is active or as required for security and legal purposes. You can delete your account from Birth Partner settings. Account deletion removes the authentication account and associated cloud progress; family ownership is transferred to another member when appropriate, or the family is removed when no member remains.
Your choices
- Use the app without creating an account.
- Choose whether to create or join a family.
- Sign out to stop synchronization.
- Delete your account in the app.
- Contact us to request privacy help.
Children
Birth Partner is intended for adults preparing for or supporting pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including authenticated access and database row-level security. No system is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@mybirthpartner.com.
